Why Does My Design Look Different After Download? #
The Problem #
Your design looks slightly different after downloading it from Canva.
Why This Happens #
This can happen for a few common reasons:
- Different file types display differently
- Screens display colors slightly differently
- The image may have been resized during export
- The design may be viewed on a different device
This is normal for digital graphics.
How To Fix It #
For best results:
- Click Share
- Click Download
- Choose PNG for most digital graphics
- Download the correct page of the design
PNG files usually preserve quality best.
Important Tip To Remember – You cannot “break” your design! #
If you ever feel like you’ve made too many changes or want to start over, simply click your original Canva template link again. Canva will create a brand new copy of the design so you can start fresh.
