To qualify for Star Seller, Etsy looks at three main areas:

1. Message Response Rate #

You must:

• Respond to at least 95% of messages
• Within 24 hours

Even a simple response counts — it doesn’t have to be long.

2. On-Time Shipping (Physical Products Only) #

If you sell physical items:

• Orders must ship on time
• Tracking should be included when possible

👉 If you only sell digital products, this part does not apply to you.

3. 5-Star Reviews #

You need:

• An average rating of 4.8 stars or higher
• Consistent positive feedback

• Clear listings
• Good communication
• Smooth customer experience

• No shipping = no shipping issues
• Instant delivery = faster satisfaction

Your main focus will be:

• Responding to messages
• Providing clear instructions
• Avoiding confusion in your listings

Etsy reviews your performance over a rolling period (usually 3 months).

• You don’t need to be perfect immediately
• Your shop improves over time

But it does help:
